PayPal landing page — an UX review

Everybody knows PayPal right?

Wrong!

Well, I don't know really, but, they should probably get their readability tested with some users. The big hero image is great, and it seems to me it was custom made. But dude, get your contrast together. Who leaves white text on a greyish concrete background? Sure it's a nice texture, but that is not what we are after on a landing page, are we?

I won't say anything about the header menu contrast, ok it kinda sucks, but seems to work I guess.
